Finding my Creative.

Finding a creative outlet in the corporate America workplace is like trying to find needle in a haystack. I know some of you know this -- but I work in construction. You'd think I would get to be creative and BUILD things. That is what I thought too. But I manage. I manage people. And you know what isn't fun or creative? Managing people. I don't like it.

I started reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love) and it is really making me think about finding my creative outlet outside of what pays the bills. I have so many ideas that come and go, how do I stick with one? And give it all my energy? ....when I have none left from the work day?

I have come back to this blogging thing in hopes it helps. I miss the community. And I miss the outlet. I hope I can get back to a regular schedule on here. I have so many things I want to share. I think you'll like them.

This blog has been a lot of things for me. If you look back to the beginning...woof. But like all things, it's matured and grown. I no longer shotgun beers solo in my apartment. I cook all my meals at home (with a boyfriend!), and I plan trips, with blogger friends. I still drink beer, but the NICE stuff. Once you're on salary, you should spend it on important things -- Natural Light isn't one of them. You heard it here first...

I've got a lot of great things swirling around in my head. I'm finally letting them out...
