so after an entire weekend filled with snow, beer, food, sleds, bruises, and walking.....
are you kidding me????? up to 20 more inches. only 9" inches needed to break the record for the MOST snow in DC EVER! welcome to my life.
however, there was some beautiful pictures taken. if you get a chance check out our local news channels website:
NBC Washington. My favorite one being...
i can mention a little of what i consumed this weekend, just to stay on topic i suppose...
Thursday went out for a bison burger (so good!) and a couple blue moons. followed by many vodka/sodas and tequila shots. ugh not feeling good just thinking about it. friday woke up and drove all over the city before the blizzard started, got a bagel (only ate half considering i wasn't at 100%), went shopping for some snow boots (didn't find any or anything that would save me from snow), trekked through whole foods for the standard chicken noodle soup, ate a fantastic HOT DOG with saurkraut (sooooo good) at the caps game and walked 2 miles home. in the blizzard. saturday breakfast consisted of: fried eggs, turkey sausage, and fruit (had to feel a little healthy). remainder of the day we just sat around, stunned, looking at all of the snow coming down and just thinking how the hell am i supposed to live in a place like this?!. after a day of drinking, poker, and bbq (that we had to walk to get), and SLEDDING like no other, we brave the conditions and head out on the town. went to watch a 'football' (soccer for americans) game while eating the traditional english breakfast (???) and saw the edge of darkness and then ate some sushi. quite the weekend if you ask me....
today i am just praying for a snow day tomorrow....join in if you can....
